Google Photos was the primary storage at Dailyjocks for digital assets before a DAM was implemented in 2020
q  Google Photos like many other shared drives have many limitations, lack of security and are often unsuitable for repurposing digital assets which is required for digital marketing.  

q  Not feasible for collaboration in teams 

q  Unable to search by brands and other attributes which is essential for Dailyjocks' brand management

q  No rights management for sensitive documentation 

q  Digital assets were kept in emails and did not support the daily task with social media marketing and content producing

q  ​​​​​​​Marketing collaterals created by designer was backed up to portable hard drive on a daily basis, unable to share to other stakeholders in the business

Established a number of use cases based on the business's core activities that drives digital marketing for different platforms and campaigns.  Entire process took one month.  Smaller team has its advantage for fast tracking this timeline however small teams mean their core functions may overlap so these were also taken into consideration.

TRAINING

q  Dash is easy to setup..  I established a great working relationship with a customer success manager handling our account to answer queries on how to customised the Dailyjocks DAM for the users.

q  Key users were able navigate around the Dailyjocks DAM intuitively.  The rest was simply communication, trouble shooting, target training, overview presentation via Zoom (during Covid) and maintenance over time.   

Followings are some training videos I created for special functions ideal for DailyJocks.

Collaboration within teams
Dash developed the 'Collection' function which allows users to collaborate within a team.  Dailyjocks often require proofing and culling assets such as photography to produce campaigns and marketing.  This video demonstrates how multiple users within a team could workshop the final selections for campaigns.

One of my many tasks as a content creator was influencer marketing, I had to ingest digital assets emailed from influencers onto the DailyJocks DAM, then on a daily basis I updated the Instagram with influencer photos or videos for business growth. Dash took the pain out of this daily process.  This training video was done on a mobile - one platform that I always operate from, at any given time and place.

Freelance photographers often have issues when sending photos to their clients.  To streamline this process I set up a folder for external stakeholders to upload photos., usually over 600 shots per photo shoot.

q  Attributes for retouching set up so product lister was able to filter 'retouched' and 'unretouched' photos in DAM to avoid uploading the wrong assets to ecommerce

q  Freelance photographers gave their stamp of approval with uploading photos to DAM in oppose to sending multiple transfer with shared drive services

q  Various type of attributes was set up according to the set up for brands, range and style

q  Marketing team was able to access digital assets without having to send request from content creator

q  Digital assets shared easily from DAM to external stakeholders such as talents, creatives and wholesalers

q  Production and Sales team able to work collaboratively with DAM using Collection saving time with attaching assets on emails

q  Added great value to Dailyjocks as a forward thinking business
